Lotuspods at Zauberwald Lenzerheide

The Zauberwald Lenzerheide took place from December 12 to December 31, 2025, in the Eichhörnliwald (Squirrel Forest) in Lenzerheide. Due to extremely high demand, the winter festival—featuring light art, music, and culinary offerings—was extended in 2025 to include an additional evening on New Year’s Eve (December 31).

With his art installation “Lotus Pods,” artist David Ram invites the audience to rediscover their childlike curiosity and lose themselves in a mysterious, playful world.

The artwork consists of several radiant pods that function as carousels—designed for adults. The audience becomes part of the installation: they can step inside, take a ride, and engage with the experience, or simply observe from the outside. The sound installation, conceived by Seppo Gründler, responds to the movement and speed of the pods; each pod acts as an individual instrument, tuned according to the scales of Indonesian Gamelan music.
