6to6 STRING DEZIBEL

8th of December concert with 6to6 STRING DEZIBEL, Stockwerkjazz Graz 20h.

The musicians present a sound experiment. Martin Philadelphy speaks of a “physical-musical sound concept in which an orchestral sound is created through the high and low tones, one supposes to hear winds, strings, screams - but they are only electric guitars”. The first guitarist stretches six of the same E strings, which he agrees on E, on a guitar. The next one stretches six A-strings and so on. The result is an oversized guitar amplified by six times the sound volume.
